Special notes

What is the difference between IMAT Special and Premium?

Special is a nine-month programme with four weekly live lessons, recordings, regular tests, mock exams and revision. Premium expands the programme to ten months and five live lessons each week, and adds flash cards and the full admission process. Both include topic wise and chapter wise practice questions in the new IMAT format.

Can I join if I am starting from zero?

The full IMAT programmes start each subject with the basics before building toward exam-level practice.

Are the lessons live, and can I replay them?

Yes. Lessons are live online, and every lesson is recorded by topic so you can review or catch up.

What is included in 1-to-1 Complete?

A full-syllabus private programme with individually arranged lessons, personal pacing, mock exams, error review and lesson recordings.

Can I take only Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Reasoning?

Yes. We offer individual subject courses, and private lessons at €25 per hour.

Does Premium include the full medicine admission procedure?

Premium includes help with test registration, pre-enrolment and final enrolment. For the complete process with documents, visa and residence permit, choose one of the Medicine full process packages.

When is IMAT 2027?

The official IMAT 2027 date should be checked directly with the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). We do not publish an estimated date as an official announcement.

Does taking a course guarantee admission?

No. The course provides preparation and the selected support services; the actual test result and university admission depend on official examination and admission procedures.

How is the IMAT structured and scored?

The IMAT has 60 multiple choice questions in 100 minutes, covering reading skills and general knowledge, logical reasoning, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. A correct answer scores 1.5 points, a wrong answer loses 0.4 and a blank scores 0, for a maximum of 90.

Which universities accept the IMAT?

The IMAT is used for the English taught Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry degrees at Italian public universities, such as Bologna, Milan, Padua, Pavia, Sapienza and Tor Vergata in Rome, and Naples Federico II. Check each year’s official call for the current list and places.

When should I start preparing for the IMAT?

Most students do best with eight to ten months of steady preparation. That is why IMAT Special runs from October and Premium from November. If you start later, a 1-to-1 plan can be built around the time you have left.
